What happens to old dan and little ann at the end of the book?

One of the dogs die then the other just lays around all sad because its best friend is died. then one day it dies shortly after. The father has saved up all the money the boy has earned by the furs he caught with his dogs. it turns out the have enough money to move into the city. as the are leaving they remembered they left the crazy cat...thats all
