How do you change the brake lights on the spoiler of a Mazda Protege?

first locate the wire in the trunk (black and red).

remove the two screws from each side of the spoiler under the trunk lid where it contact. on the left side gently loosen up the wire so you will be able to get some slack th turk the spoiler upside down.

remove the four screws of the light.

cut the wire close to the light and join the new wire with tape, it need to be neet to follow the wire route of the old wire.

pull gently from the trunk to get the wire where it is suppose to go.

You can do wathever you want to get the connection done (weld it, clip it ,...)

If prefer the fast connection with the crimp tool and wrapped

with electrical tape
