The US Airways website states: For the safety of your pet, US Airways does not accept animals in its cargo compartments on most flights Pets are accepted on most US Airways flights as carry-on baggage and permitted in the cabin with their owners. Only on certain flights are they allowed in the cargo hold. (We dog people all know they aren't baggage, though.) According to US Airways spokesman, Morgan Durrant, there were NO pets on board flight 1549 that day! The report comes from Harry R Weber via the Washington Post.
