When does Simon die?

In Lord of the Flies Simon is killed by Jack and his group on pages 152-154 (chapter 9) aaccttuualllyy, thats when simon is making his way down the mountain after his adventure, but he is actually killed on page 168 when jack and his tribe mistake him for the beast during a thunderstorm.
