H im imcoolareyou and the answer above me is great but I just wanted to include more information.
Most people say drink soda, I believe that is correct it all depends on the type of soda. The soda I would recommend is Ginger ale. This goes great with plain crackers.
Sometimes a child needs to vomit, these remedies are only temporary though.
Let them sleep by the time they wake up their stomach ache should have subsided thus them not feeling they have to throw up. WARNING THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK! PEOPLE HAVE DIED BECAUSE THEY HAVE THROWN UP IN THEIR SLEEP! But if your child has a simple stomach ache this may or may not work.
Take them to the doctor if your child has been throwing up very often holding it in isn't working any more it may be very serious.
My last option is medicine my mother used to avoid medicine at all cost, because medicine is not always the first option you can run to. But any way sometimes medicine is your last resort. I would recommend...
