Refuse means:

When you do not accept a certain product at all if you do not need it or if it is environmentally or socially unsustainable. So genuinely, it means that you do not or will accept certain products that are not the best option for the environment.

It could also mean in a different reference: To buy products which are not sustainability designed + manufactured, or matter thrown away or rejected as worthless; trash.

Refusing in textiles may be difficult.
