What is the Communal life of the early church?

A:We know very little about the life of the earliest Christians. Luke's Gospel and Acts ofthe Apostles, taken together suggest that the comminity in which they were written practised ownership in common of all property. The story of Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5) suggests that this ethic was taken very seriously in this community.

The non-canonical Didache says that wandering preachers were to be welcomed into a Christian community but must be expected to work for their keep.
