Air Chief Marshal Lakshman Madhav Katre was a prominent officer in the Indian Air Force (IAF) and served as its Chief from 1984 to 1986. Born on July 15, 1929, he played a significant role in modernizing the IAF and was instrumental in various operational strategies during his tenure.
