What are some disadvantages of same-sex marriage?

The negative side of same-sex marriage is that some see it as godless.

It is not acceptable by some religious orders.

Some societies ostracise those involved.

Well, they can't have kids w/o outside help, but that's about it.

Many countries do not recognise it and any rights associated with 'normal' marriage are not given.
