The question is an anti-Semitic slur.
We don't really; it's just a stereotype that developed because in Europe, Jews were not permitted to own land. Also many other trades were controlled by guilds, who excluded the Jews. The unpopular trades of moneylending and tax-collecting were pressed upon the Jews; and eventually many Jews became bankers and diamond cutters, since they couldn't be farmers or tradespeople. For this reason, some anti-Semites claimed this meant they liked coins.
