Can you put rtv in valve cover?

It is not recommended to put RTV INSIDE the valve cover. If it were to turn loose and fall in a place that may cause a valve to not open correctly which could lead to damage to the valve or rocker arm. It is OK to use as a gasket sealer and the little bit that may squeeze through to the inside should not hurt anything. Do not try to use it as a patch though.
