Administer 40 units of Insulin U-100 How many ml?

This is not always the same! Most insulin sold for humans is concentrated at 100 units per ml (U100 insulin). But some insulin is not.

In the case of U100 insulin, however,

1 cc equals 1ml equals 100 units

so

40 units equals 0.4ml
