How deep has a free diver gone?

As of my last update, the deepest recorded free dive was achieved by Herbert Nitsch, who reached a depth of 214 meters (702 feet) in 2007, under a discipline called "No Limits." This record showcases the extreme capabilities of the human body and the extensive training involved in free diving.
