Why is Karl Marx a famous philospher?

There are many reasons but basically it is because no other thinker has had such a profound impact upon everything as Marx and Engels did. Their impact on political philosophy, economics, philosophy more generally, what was to be sociology, cultural theory, everything you could think of, is difficult to overestimate.
