How do you clean a futon mattress?

If your futon mattress has a removable cover it can just be thrown in the wash for cleaning. Do not get the mattress very wet as it is hard to dry off. You can just blot off any stains on the mattress. Allow it to dry outdoors if possible vacuum to help dry it a bit faster.
