Why are teenagers addicted to facebook?

I think I begun addicted on facebook when I tend to sleep late and spend hours and hours on facebook. why? because I like to update statuses,photos and sometimes I like to view pages I liked. what I like the most on facebook is that, when I post photos or statuses, I'll get so many likes and that what urges me to do it again and again....
