What challenges did Edgar Allan Poe overcome in his lifetime?

Poe overcame many challenges. He overcame his Alcoholism, the death of his parents/brother/foster parents/wife, his foster father's hatred for him, his failure to start his own newspaper (which was his biggest dream in life)
he was bipolar and he was an alcoholic.
Love and Death. One tortured him and the other ended him.
