How can you reduce the impact of hurricanes?

You cannot completely prevent damage, but you can reduce it by boarding up Windows to kept them from breaking, taking loose outdoor objects inside to keep them from becoming wind driven debris, and instally "hurricane clips" in your house to make it less likely that the roof will be removed.
