How old should a person be to operate a pwc in Florida?

In Florida, a person must be at least 14 years old to operate a personal watercraft (PWC), such as a jet ski. However, individuals aged 14 and 15 must also have completed a Florida Boating Safety Course and possess a valid boater's ID card while operating the PWC. Those under 14 years old cannot legally operate a PWC, even with adult supervision. Additionally, individuals 18 years or older may operate a PWC without any restrictions.
