Why do hunters hang coyotes on fences?

I have no idea because we don't have coyotes in the UK and hunting of foxes for example is now illegal. However, I can tell you what would be likely to happen if our animal rights supporters in the UK discovered a vile thing like this - it would be the hunter strung up on the fence. This is said tongue in cheek by the way, for the Americans who cannot understand the English persons peculiar sense of humour! We tend to laugh at ourselves here!
