Use insulation in a sentence

Insulation is the property (or material) that separates two materials.

Thermal insulation will separate a hot and a cool place. e.g. cork.

Electrical insulation will separate two electrical components. e.g. rubber, glass.

Sound insulation (properly called a sound barrier), will separate one space from another, as far as sound is concerned.

A Sound absorber is a material used to absorb sound, generally within a space that is too reverberant. But it does not insulate one space acoustically from another.
