When do you wear an MBE?

An MBE, or Member of the Order of the British Empire, is typically worn during formal occasions and events where recognition of the honor is appropriate, such as investiture ceremonies, state functions, and special celebrations. Recipients may also choose to wear it at formal dinners, anniversaries, or other significant gatherings to signify their achievement. It is a mark of distinction and can be worn on the left side of the chest.
