Why do were a wedding ring on a certan finger?

A wedding ring is a symbol for married couples. It is believed that the ancient Egyptians were the first culture to adopt the wedding rings. They wore them on the second-to-last finger (the ring finger) on their left hand because they thought that the vein of that finger was linked to the heart. Although they were wrong about that, but the tradition remains to this day.
