What are the advantages anf disadvantages of mass tourism?

Advantages:

1. Creates jobs for local people i.e labour jobs
2. Country benefits from the tourists i.e. Money
3. New Amenities created for the tourists which can be used by the local people i.e leisure centres, hotels, airports

Disadvantages:

1. The jobs created are only temporary
2. Only a specific type of people come as tourists (low and middle income) due to the holiday package deal. Besides, the upper income group may not be attracted to visiting the country
3. The amenities made might be too expensicve for the local people to use and also might be restricted for their use.
4. Tourists are narrow minded thus the only prefer food they are more used to and so food has to be imported (money wasted through this) causing the local faremers and others that produce food not to be able to produce food they can sell.
