It depends on the cause of the vertigo.

Remember, vertigo is only a symptom that something is wrong inside your body.

In most cases, vertigo is caused by a problem with your vestibular system. This is the system, mostly the inner ear, that controls balance in the body.

Parts of this system become inflamed - either the nerves or labyrinth of your inner ear.

Thus, your brain receives a "screwed up signal" from one of the many places it receives signals that keep you balanced. This "wrong" or "bad" signal causes a conflict in your brain and thus, you become dizzy or experience vertigo.

This inflammation of your inner ear sometimes goes away within 2-6 weeks, but some people experience the effects for months if not years afterwards.

I was one of those sufferers.

I overcame my vertigo and inner ear infection and have detailed a report how I did so at http://dizzynomore.com

This will detail the steps how I overcame and beat my vertigo.
