Can i get back pay for taking care of someone?

Whether or not you can get back pay for taking care of someone depends. Were you hired to do it or did you volunteer? If you were hired what was your agreement with your employer?

Even if you volunteered to take care of someone you may be able to get back pay if you can negotiate it so that the person who would be paying feels they want to give you money for your past services.
