Urine is formed through a process called filtration, reabsorption, and secretion in the kidneys. Blood is filtered in the glomeruli, where waste products and excess substances are removed to form a filtrate. This filtrate then passes through the renal tubules, where valuable substances such as water, glucose, and salts are reabsorbed back into the bloodstream, while waste products are secreted into the tubules. The final product, urine, is collected in the renal pelvis and eventually excreted from the body through the urinary tract.
