Why don't parents like there kids dating?

I am answering this from very personal experience! When I was 14 I met this "amazing" man who was 22. He was a good old farm boy and respected his mama. I dated him for a few years and was sure we were going to get married. All of a sudden he started asking me to do things I was not comfortable with. I vowed to be a virgin till my wedding day, but he was on a mission to change that! He also tried very hard to keep me away from people my own age. He paid for everything for me, even to home school, I think it was to reduce his risk of replacement. My parents HATED the idea of me being with an older guy, but chocked it up to infatuation. They watched us like hawks and at the time I couldn't understand why they wouldn't just want me to be happy? Afterall, he had a good job and had already went to college! I loved the idea of being "secure" at such a young age, I thought I had it all, but then I met someone my own age! I went back to school for the 10th grade and met a very nice boy--which is what I should have had all along, a BOY! Moral of the story was the guy was a real pervert! Any man who courts a much younger girl/woman needs to have his head examined! Guys like that are in for the challenge and the prize, a young girls virginity is the ultimate! It took me getting to the age of 22 and looking at 14 year olds and saying "what a sick pervert!" Most men who persue young women have some sort of sexual disfunction and or inappropriate fetishes, even if they seem kind and sweet. I still spoke with my ex-old-guy until just a couple of years ago, and I realized after I grew up that he didnt really love me or take "us" seriously, I was just "young and easy to mold". He wanted to start me young and turn me into the "perfect" wife! Just like a parent would teach a child what they value, he was trying to parent me into a spouse!!! I am now 26 and a parent, and I would chop the unit right off of ANY sick old dude that was trying to date my Daughter! Trust me, you wont Truly know what you want out of life until you are at least 25 anyway!!
