What is the role of chronemics in communications?

you have probably found it by now but what the hay =]

You see it's role in NON-VERBAL communication is to help to understand the message the individual is sending and to keep daily activities running smoothly without delay or interruption. think of it this way:

If someone was trying to send you a message in and got the timing wrong you would not understand them or you would not even get the message or imagine a country that does not use chronemics how chaotic do you think that place would be? see what i mean?
