What is Lewis and Clark's religion?

They were Deists like many of the famous intellectuals of their day. They believed that God created the universe, but didn't play a role in its current affairs. The world was ruled by the laws of nature, a mentality that aided them during their long voyage. They were also very accepting of other faiths from the men in their party, to their native guides.
