Who was Burke and hare's 1st victim?

Burke and Hare's first victim was that of an Englishman, named Joe who fell ill with fever. Burke and Hare decided that he would not recover and decided to kill him by placing a pillow over his face whilst one of them lay across the body to prevent struggle. This was the first of 16 murders committed by Burke and Hare, a murder spree that last 10 months.
