Simon Finch is the ancestor of Atticus, Jem, and Scout Finch. Simon left England because he was irritated by the persecution of Methodists. After traveling to Philadelphia, Jamaica, Mobile, and then Saint Stephens, he established Finch's Landing. Simon lived to an impressive age and died rich.
