What ethical questions were raised by the Vietnam War?

Regarding the "ethical" question(s) concerning the rules or standards for right conduct or practice...on the part of the US, who represented the main power during the cold war, on behalf of the free world; US citizens who were unaware or simply didn't care (until drafted, then they cared!) about the US's status during the cold war: considered it wrong to mingle in other country's internal affairs/and wrong, to force (by conscription) US citizens into the military to fight in a "civil war" (in this case North vs South)of Another Country. These were the MAIN questions raised (because being drafted affected THEM).
