In 'Fruits Basket' does Yuki ever tells Tohru about him giving the hat?

(choco calico): LIES... He never really says it directly (although it seems he wants to). In the end, he only says how Tohru has been always there for him, even in the beginning and it seems, having been able to thank her and tell her how much she means to everyone and how they all love her for her understanding, nurturing personality, and see her as a mother...he decided to not tell her anymore, since he felt it was enough that Tohru had been there for him, supporting him in order for him to become "stronger" and be able to stand on his own.

Personally, I would've found it interesting if he did...but eh...I still like Kyo and Tohru together (Even if Machi and Yuki for me aren't exactly what I'd call the best match either)
