Where was the first NHL winter classic?

The National Hockey League played its first outdoor game on September 27, 1991 in the parking lot next to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas under the sun & Stars (no roof). At game time the temperature at night was a cool 87 degrees F, just imagine what it was during the day! A little know company, Ice Rink Supply, provided the technical direction to bring about the ice surface utilizing internationally patent ice building & ice maintenance products invented by Michael Rzechula.
