Redback Spiders, native to Australia, are known for their distinctive red hourglass marking on their abdomens. They are venomous and primarily feed on insects, using their webs to trap prey. The female redback is larger than the male and may sometimes consume the male after mating. Their bites can be painful to humans but are rarely fatal, thanks to available antivenom.
