To properly install floating flooring in your home, follow these steps:
- Prepare the subfloor by ensuring it is clean, level, and dry.
- Acclimate the flooring to the room for at least 48 hours.
- Lay down a moisture barrier if needed.
- Start in a corner and lay the first row of planks, leaving a small gap around the edges.
- Continue laying the planks, clicking them together securely.
- Use spacers to maintain expansion gaps around the perimeter.
- Trim the last row to fit, leaving another small gap.
- Install trim or molding to cover the gaps and finish the edges.
