Was George Washington born into a wealthy family?

His parents were fairly well off. They were Virginia planters, but with a modest income. It was not enough income to be considered very wealthy. It really doesn't make any difference how well off his parents were because at the time the second son didn't inherit from the parents. Washington grew up knowing he would have to work since he was a second son.
