What are silver and deming drill bits?

They are considered to be all purpose drills, and are used wherever the maximum chuck capacity is 1/2". Often they are manufactured with one or more flats. They are also called S&D Drills, Blacksmith Drills or Prentice Drills (Canada). All Silver and Deming Drills are 6" overall length with 3" Flute length.
