How do you unclog a sewer pipe after a sewer snake goes through the clog yet the pipe is still clogged?

The problem could be anything from a small ball thrown down the drain, to roots clogging up the sewer line, to a cracked sewer line, all of which have been known to block sewer lines.

Best bet is to dig down where the rods end and investigate the problem
