When i wanna make soap i cheat a little... It's much easier and it doesn't cost much at all. I can't be bothered to buy all the professional stuff so...
Buy:
-1-3 Bars or CHEAP, UNSCENTED, UNCOLOURED, Tesco Value or Sainsbury's Value Soap or something. 1-3 depending on how much you wanna make. I'd say three is the maximum for one batch really;D It'd be huge.
-As many lemons as you have bars of soap. The cheap ones;D
You Will Need:
-Grater
-Wooden Spoon
-Elictric Whisk (Or normal whisk, but I'm lazy!)
-Bowl
How To Do It:
Right. Grate your soap into the bowl. Grate some lemon peel in and then squeeze in as much juice as you can. You could always add lemon juice in the bottle if you don't think it smells of lemons. Make sure you have as much lemon in there as possible! Use the (electric) whisk and turn it all creamy. Give it a good mix, and mould it to the shape you want (or you could get cookie cutters like i did, it can make some really cool shapes, you can have Christmas soap!) Put your soap shapes in the fridge for as long as you can, at least twelve hours, or you could try the freezer for an hour then the fridge for a bit less time? Not sure how it would work, but i cant see how it could go wrong.
By the way, i only used lemon as an example. Anything you could make into a liquid would work, but I'm not sure how much of it you'd need. Just add it until it smells and looks nice, you can't add too much, I'm trying orange/ grapefruit/ lime later. My sister is apparently trying coffee cuz she loves the smell. Hope this helps! My lazy method. ;D
