What improvements were made to the Fiesta mk4?

Ford tries to keep the same look across all models, so no big surprises here. The Mk4 did have an upgraded engine and the interior of the car got a whole different look then most Ford cars. It has more of an 80's plastic look. Also on it's arrival the bumper didn't receive much praise. The look was frowned upon.
