If a guy listens to your conversations does he like you?

the same thing happened to me, i thought this guy liked me because he keep lstening to my conversations and i liked him heaps but,when i asked him out he told me he didnt like me at all. so it turned out he was just an earwigger but i could be wrong if he acts like he likes you and doesnt listen to anyone elses conversations then he might like u :) xx
