What wireless protocol is a short range wireless technology limited to transmission distance of about 100 meters or less?

All Wireless Protocols of the 802.11 set of wireless standards(a, b,g and n)have short ranges limited to transmission distance on the basis of usage whether used INDOOR or OUTDOOR.

Till now among the used protocols none of them in INDOOR usage (signals loose intensity while passing though obstructions between Transmitter and Device)provides signals range of more than 70 meters. While OUTDOOR usage can go beyond 100 meters.A
