How is Obama president if his father was African?

Barack Obama is an American citizen, born and raised in Hawaii. Where his father or mother are from is not the issue: Mr. Obama is from the United States, and according to the Constitution, a presidential candidate must be a natural-born citizen of the USA and over 35 years old. Mr. Obama was born in the United States, and was over 35 years of age when he ran for president in 2007-2008.
