If the game is bad you wont sell a lot, but you need to spend money, to make money.So really you could receive anywhere from 1$ to 1 million so this question is very hard to get a good answer. But If you would like to become one, you would have to buy a game selling license. So you could really spend more than you make. That depends on if you are working for a big company like Nintendo or some small company, or even nonprofit. Usually if your business makes good games you get payed reasonably.
