Is there such thing as artificial honey?

No, there is no such thing as artificial honey. You could make a strong sugar syrup, but there is nothing you could do to get that real honey flavour.

You invert the sugar using an acid, and the result it almost as honey, but it lacks the flavour as real honey. In the other hand real honey is mostley just inverted sugar, and if artificial honey is mixed with natural, its very few how can feel it.

Some have even difficult to feel the difference in a blind test. You can find honey mixed with atificial honey on the market.
