What do you need to start a snow cone business?

Here is a simple list of items needed:

1. A very busy location.

2. A large deep freeze capable of quickly freezing/maintaining blocks of ice.

3. A commercial snow cone machine such as a Swan or Fujimarca.

4. A building or stand to house your materials.

5. Some form of cash register/box.

6. Flavors which can be bought as concentrates or powdered.

7. Lots of sugar depending on whether or not you use powdered flavors.

8. A health permit which typically requires a hot water heater, 3-compartment sink, hand-washing sink, light shielding, and proper sewage.

9. Basic cleaning supplies.

10. Spoons, napkins, and straws.

11. Quart sized bottles with pour spouts for flavors.

12.Gallon jugs to store flavors.

13. A menu.

14. Lots of practice.
