When were needles formed?

Needles, as a form of medical instrument, were first created in prehistoric times, with evidence of their use dating back to around 30,000 years ago. Initially made from materials like bone, wood, or thorns, they evolved over time into the metal needles we are familiar with today. The modern hypodermic needle, used for injections, was developed in the mid-19th century, specifically around the 1850s.
