How do you change keyboard layout from English UK to US having selected UK when you reformatted your computer?

Go in to the control panel and select region and language. Then keyboards and languages. Then change keyboard. Select add. Expand the language you want (I assume English UK in this case). Expand keyboard and select the keyboard you want. You can preview to make sure it's the one you want/have. Click OK. Select your choice as the default input language and click OK.
